EKU Soccer Inks Nine Signees for 2010

RICHMOND, Ky. – Head women’s soccer coach Lindsay Basalyga announced today that nine student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play soccer for Eastern Kentucky University in the fall. The signing class is the second largest in program history and features three midfielders, three forwards, two defenders and one goalkeeper.

“We couldn’t be more excited about the recruiting class we have coming to campus next fall,” Basalyga said. “These nine players will add depth, athleticism, competitiveness and personality to the program not only on the field, but in the classroom as well. They will certainly make us a better team immediately and help us reach our ultimate goal, which is winning an OVC Tournament and competing in the NCAA Tournament. As always, we are expecting these nine players to step in and compete for playing time from day one.”
