Greetings From Horse Country!
Well, I feel like I know my way around Richmond now! Jean has been a real
trooper driving us everywhere around here and being our Lexington Shuttle!
It's great because Britt is 95% moved in and settled and we are watching the
people move in yesterday and today thinking thank goodness we don't have to
deal with all that part! We still have grocery shopping and a few little
things to get. One of her UPS boxes is missing in action. Hasn't been
scanned since it left CA for Illinois and then it disappeared off the radar
and it is missing! :( We're hoping it shows up next week.

We drove to Lexington last night to watch her game in Louisville. Great
drive over...beautiful countryside. AND, the best part is she played about
75 minutes out of 90! Louisville had 9 returning seniors that were all 6
feet tall or taller. Britt's center mid mark was at least 6 feet tall!
Anyway, they lost 4-1, but played well. My friend Joanne's sister Sue lives
in Louisville, and her and her friend came out to the game. So Britt, the
Cali girl had 4 fans in the stand! Louisville had a soccer stadium and it
was FULL! So that was fun too.

Because the team got back late last night - around midnight - they are
training today from 10-12. Britt wants to go eat right after training with
one of her teammates - Raich (they are tight) and then we are headed over to
Lexington to see her friend Missy! We can't wait! Don't really have big
plans for the day - just some grocery shopping - her roommate's mom gets
here today so we will meet her. And the home game tomorrow! Raich coaches
a club team here and has games today so we might catch one of those. Britt
has been helping her with those girls some. It was funny to listen to them
talk about the "team" and what they need to work on with them!!

Britt is still doing great and really enjoying the girls. She is already
making plans with Raich to go home with her over Thanksgiving and Raich is
planning to come to Cali over winter break with Britt.

Anyway, all is well.....and it looks like Britt could not be happier right
now....it will be hard to leave her on Monday, but knowing that I will see
her again next month will make it easier - that and knowing that she is
happy here!

That's it for now....
