Brittany had her second (exhibition) game today, against Union College. Though it is an NAIA school, they had 2 players from Brazil, one of which was on the Brazilian National team, and I think players from Australia and Canada. Brittany said they were a huge team.Brittany started, and played all but the last 10 minutes of the first half. Union went up 1 at about 12 minutes, then Raich scored around 24 minutes. They ended the half tied 1-1.
Second half Britt started again, and in the first 20 minutes they put up 4 goals. One was a perfect assist from Britt to Carly, and several Freshman were also playing. Once they went up 5-1, she subbed in a bunch of players, and Britt went out. The game finished 5-1.
Britt said they only saw about 15 minutes of the football game Saturday night before it was finally rained out. She also said that the Freshman are composing a letter to all of the Friends of EKU soccer about their preseason experiences, so hopefully we'll see that soon. Tonight was one of the first nights in awhile that the Team didn't have dinner together; some of the girls went for Mexican but Britt was just there with Missy. Raich went out to dinner with her boyfriend, and Brittany and some of the other girls went to Outback. Of course, at Outback they ran in to Raich...
